About Me (and my voice)

So how did this voiceover / voice actor role come about? Having had the “acting bug” within me since childhood I took the sensible/safe route into the corporate world. I still kept my hat in the dramatic ring throughout (including a travelling theatre group for two weeks (my closest to being a “real” actor) and a supporting character in a film). I also undertook radio presenter roles in hospital radio and a yearly music festival. To this day I still DJ (with my own mobile rig).

My experiences within the corporate world led me into training roles which further enhanced my communication skills. Then, after a number of years working within the technical side of radio I decided to make the jump into the creative realm full time. Voice characterisations is something I’ve always been able to do and in conjunction with my training experience I have also fine tuned a clear, authoritative, yet friendly tone.

I have been voicing projects since 2013 – producing audio for telephone systems, promotional videos, jingles, cartoon characters and video games amongst other things. I have a home studio, so can turnaround good quality recordings efficiently. Have a listen to the examples on this site to get a feel for my work – if you’d like to hear how I would come across for your production do please get in touch.

All the best!
Mark
